It’s no secret that many of us ladies have started thinking about our dream wedding since we were little girls. Once we’ve found our special someone and it comes time to actually plan the wedding, we want everything to be perfectly planned and go off without a single hitch. Whether you want to get married on the beach, on a mountaintop or out at sea on a beautiful ship, careful timing is also needed when you’re looking to have an outdoor sunset wedding. Here are some tips on how to find the best time to start a sunset wedding ceremony to have the wedding of your dreams.
A romantic outdoor wedding at sunset when the sunlight is gentle and radiant is absolutely flattering. You and your groom will create memories you’ll cherish forever. As an experienced wedding photographer, I want to help you to have your dream wedding and amazing pictures to commemorate the day.
Timing the ceremony start time can sometimes be difficult. Bear in mind that the time of sunset differs significantly by location and season. So make sure to check the time of sunset for the location and date of your wedding. To help you find the best time to start a sunset wedding ceremony, here’s a handy Sunrise and Sunset Calculator.
Also, don’t wait until the sun has begun to set to start your ceremony. If you do that, then the light will be gone by the time you say “I do.” Most ceremonies last approximately 30 minutes, sometimes longer, so it’s highly recommended that you start your outdoor ceremony about 1.5 – 2 hours before sunset. (Adjust the start time if you’re planning to have a longer ceremony.) This will give you gorgeous lighting and time to take formal pictures with your bridal party and family after the ceremony.
